Global Health Reach
Global Health Reach (GHR) is a non-profit organization based out of San Antonio, Texas, USA. We aim to establish relationships with medically underserved populations throughout the world, identify the specific needs of each community, and implement long-term programs to address these needs. These programs can include (but are not limited to):
- Short and long-term medical mission trips
- Provision of medical and dental supplies
- Medical training and continuing education
- Community training
- Health and community improvement projects
Before partnering with a medically underserved community, we meet with community leaders to ensure the services we provide are the services most needed by the community. GHR then makes a strategic plan with the community and local NGOs to develop a schedule of multiple visits of various lengths to the area. One of the most important factors for long-term health of a community is the community’s intrinsic desire to improve their own health; if the community does not work to improve their health, our services may only make marginal improvements at best. Additionally, initiatives like detox at home can empower individuals within the community to take proactive steps towards better health. For those seeking more specialized support, such as substance abuse treatment, partnering with a reputable rehab centre in London can offer invaluable resources and guidance. Furthermore, our goal is to work with the community to bring progress and to reach a point at which they no longer need our aid, whether it’s in healthcare or seeking the best drug addiction centre.
Global Health
Global Health Reach aspires to not only provide medical care, but to improve the ‘global health’ of each community we work with. To GHR, the term “global health” encompasses the total health and wellness of a community, to include acute and chronic medical care, clean water sources, community and health training, dietary education, and numerous other factors.
