Upcoming Missions

Vietnam: January 3-13, 2018

H'mong MotherLooking for a warm winter adventure? GHR will return to Vietnam in January 2018! Volunteers will be immersed in the rich H’mong culture and even stay with local families. This trip is not for the faint of heart, but for the more adventure-minded volunteers. GHR volunteers can expect an authentic experience, staying with the most gracious H’mong hosts and be treated to traditional tasty cuisine while staying in a local homestay. Homestays are clean and safe, but facilities are not typical of those found in the USA. The team will conduct clinics at two locations, treating patients with a wide variety of conditions and educating them on sanitation best practices. These trips are perfect for pre-med students and other students looking to learn medicine, build character and push yourself to be a better you. Get ready for the trip of a lifetime!

Guatemala: March 21-25, 2018

Guatemala Medical Mission - Xepanil Day 3

After our first two abbreviated GHR trips were so successful in 2017, we will bring them back for our Guatemala trips in 2018! We will continue working with village health liaisons to improve the health education of each village and continue to improve the ‘global health’ of each villager. GHR volunteers will stay at a beautiful hotel near Lake Atitlán, and will conduct medical clinics on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at villages in the beautiful highlands region of Guatemala (specific locations will not be disclosed for security reasons). GHR will be partnering with WINGS, a local Guatemala NGO specializing in women’s health.

Guatemala: May 30 – June 3, 2018

A medical mission trip to Guatemala the week following Memorial Day is the perfect way to kick-off the summer of 2018! This trip will consist of primary care with an additional emphasis on dental care and education. GHR volunteers will stay in the beautiful colonial town of Antigua, and will conduct clinics on our abbreviated schedule: Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Clinics are held at villages in the beautiful highlands region of Guatemala (specific locations will not be disclosed for security reasons). GHR is honored to partner with ALDEA, a local Guatemala NGO, which has offered community education and healthcare to indigenous Guatemalans for 50 years!
